1. Vice Chancellor's Awards for Research, Scholarship and Knowledge Transfer 2019

   A summary of the winners of the VC Awards for Research, Scholarship and Knowledge Transfer 2019 conferred at the University Research and Innovation Day in June.

2. Art and Science Exchange

   On Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August 2019, the MA Art in Science programme at Liverpool School of Art and Design hosted an Art & Science Exchange workshop with members of the Biochemical Society. The exchange was held at the John Lennon Art and Design Building, in the Public Exhibition Space and X-Gallery amongst the MA Art in Science student's end of programme postgraduate exhibition, which showcases the outcomes of their three month research projects. These projects served as a basis for investigation of specific art-science interactions, and were supported by open discussions, hands on activities and a Liverpool LASER talk.

3. LJMU announces new honorary fellows

   LJMU will celebrate the inspirational achievements of 16 new honorary fellows in a special ceremony later this year.

4. Graduation review: Friday 25 November 2016

   The second day of LJMU's 2016 winter Graduation Ceremonies took place in the sunshine at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday 25 November 2016.

5. Art providing a ‘window into the world of the shepherdess’

   Liverpool School of Art and Designs Dr Patricia MacKinnon-Day is celebrated in a new publication that traces a decade of her work telling the stories of rural women through art and autoethnography.

6. Liverpool College of Art alumni reminisce at Bicentenary year documentary screening

   A film charting the history of Liverpool College of Art, today’s Liverpool School of Art and Design, was screened at a special event attended by more than 50 alumni of the college and university.

7. Framework for Academic Quality and Standards Policy update

   This staff policy has had a minor amendment.

8. Pandemic exacerbated disadvantages faced by young people with special needs and disabilities

   Education, mental health, and social care downgraded or, in some cases, withdrawn altogether.

9. Zois Award 2015

   A key member of the Liverpool Telescope Gamma-Ray Burst Team, Professor Andreja Gomboc at the University of Nova Gorica in Slovenia, has received the 2015 Zois Award for her study of Gamma Ray Bursts.

10. Royal Photographic Society award for Professor Wilkinson

    Professor Caroline Wilkinson, Director of LJMU’s School of Art and Design, has received a prestigious award from the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).
