Choosing Liverpool as it was a vibrant and buzzing city, she has not only settled into life in the UK but also helped other fellow international students to do the same, by acting as a student mentor while undertaking master’s study in business and management.

    The Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Research Group is concerned with the mechanisms underlying cognitive and emotional behaviour and the disruption of these processes by drugs, ageing, atypical development or disease.   4. Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour

    Within the Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour we are involved in research which looks at perception, attention, emotion, learning and memory, sensory and motor processes, and includes animal models of neurobehavioral research. We investigate cognitive and brain mechanisms in psychologically and neurologically intact animals and humans, and the disruption of these processes caused by drugs, brain damage, ageing or atypical development.

    Our interest lies in the evolution of animal societies and the interactions that occur within these societies and their link to emotion, cognition and communication.
