1. Physical Literacy Expert Panel

   This project aims to create a universal definition of physical literacy in England to hopefully catalyse efforts to adopt, support and promote physical literacy in practice.

   The Mechanical Engineering and Materials Research Centre (MEMARC) has four research groups. Here you can find out more about each of these research groups and their individual specialisms.

4. Justice Policy and Practice - Criminal justice research

   The Injustice and Harm stream seeks to provide insight into the harms of contemporary criminal justice, political, and socio-cultural processes.

5. Suicide and Self-Harm Research Group

   The Suicide and Self-Harm Research Group builds on existing areas of excellence in research and aligns with the national suicide prevention strategy (2019)

6. Business, Corporate, Financial and Technology Law

   The Business, Corporate, Financial and Technology Law Unit is committed to fostering an intellectual environment and advancing scholarship within business and finance law.

7. Physical Activity Exchange

   Our research is applied in nature and is focused on physical activity, sedentary behaviour, fitness and health in laboratory and various real world settings.

8. Coaching and Pedagogy Research Group

   Find out more information about the Coaching and Pedagogy Research Group which aims to take a multidisciplinary approach to developing research in the areas of coaching and teacher education, pedagogical approaches to practice and issues linking to social justice and equality, diversity and inclusion.

9. Drone Technologies and Sensing

   The Drone Technologies and Sensing (DTS) research area combines some of the latest research from the General Engineering Research Institute (GERI) in the field of state-of-the-art drone technology, alongside well established research streams in optical measurement and sensing that have a long history of sustained research excellence.

10. Industrial Design Group

    The Industrial Design Group has been focusing on human-centred design research that applying Human Factors theory to optimise human well-being and overall system performance.
