   MAPSS is a school suicide prevention programme for Year 10 pupils that aims to reduce suicide risk and increase help-seeking among young people.

5. Abdelrahman Elwan

   Abdelrahman is a third-year biomedical sciences student. He came to LJMU from Egypt through the International Foundation Year and worked as a student mentor for fellow international students, to provide support and advice to help others settle into life in Liverpool.

6. Liverpool Early Number Skills Project

   The Liverpool Early Number Skills Project investigates the influence of the home learning environment, language and cognitive abilities on children's early number skills. Find out more about this project.

8. Demitri Markavo

   Business and law foundation year student Demitri moved from Afghanistan to study in Liverpool with LJMU. He is one of hundreds of international students that study here every year and find a home in our city.

10. Professor Joe Rafferty CBE

    Joe is the Chief Executive of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and was chosen as one of LJMU’s Bicentenary year honorary fellows because of his impressive career in the NHS and the positive impact of his leadership in the field across Merseyside and beyond.
