Chris was born during the Second World War and only studied at university much later in life, like many of the mature students that choose to study with LJMU. He also had a late dyslexia diagnosis, making him realise he just had a different way of thinking and learning.

Professor Zara Quigg is one of the youngest professors at LJMU and a behavioural epidemiologist at our Public Health Institute. Her zeal and energy have placed her at the heart of the fight for better public health here on Merseyside.
One of the UK’s youngest Black professors, an LJMU alum and former lecturer who attributes the success of his academic career so far, in part, to the supportive leadership and peers here at the university.
