   Research undertaken by CCSE members of the Children and Youth Research Group seeks to explore the experiences of children and young people who come into contact with the Youth Justice System.

3. Forensic anthropology

   The Forensic anthropology group is committed to the development of protocols and guidelines to increase the reliability of the recovery, documentation and analysis of human remains. We provide casework consultancy for forensic anthropological analysis, facial approximation and mass grave excavation. 4. Voluntary action and third sector responses

   Voluntary action/third sector responses research within the Centre for the Study of Crime, Criminalisation and Social Exclusion.

5. Education – interviews with women activists in Nepal

   As a part of the Qualitative Analysis in Action project, you are invited to read the interviews with women who are making positive changes to education in Nepal. The interviews help us to gain a better understanding of these women's unique and inspirational lives.

6. Holistic Built Environment

   The Holistic Built Environment research theme is focused on sustainability related research problem including legal, social, economic, engineering, and management related aspects of Built Environment using novel approaches like digitalisation, Digital Twin, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality and offsite manufacturing techniques.

7. Neuroscience Research Theme

   The Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Research Group is concerned with the mechanisms underlying cognitive and emotional behaviour and the disruption of these processes by drugs, ageing, atypical development or disease. 8. Ian Yee

   Ian studied at LJMU as an international student, travelling from Malaysia to Liverpool gaining his degree in mass communication in 2007. Since then, he has gone on to become an award-winning investigative journalist with a focus on social justice issues.

9. Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour

   Within the Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour we are involved in research which looks at perception, attention, emotion, learning and memory, sensory and motor processes, and includes animal models of neurobehavioral research. We investigate cognitive and brain mechanisms in psychologically and neurologically intact animals and humans, and the disruption of these processes caused by drugs, brain damage, ageing or atypical development.

10. Phil Bridges

    Phil is the founder of a Liverpool-based mental health social enterprise called The Mind Map, helping to improve people’s mental health through counselling, training and awareness. It was his own experiences growing up that influenced his decision to set-up the organisation.
