    Scott is the PhD programme leader with responsibility for the doctoral students in our business school. Having followed a path into the miliary at just 16, gaining only one GCSE, Scott came to study for a degree at LJMU later in life, eventually gaining a PhD before becoming a member of staff and now inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.

  2. Maureen Ouso

    Maureen is a member of staff with the Faculty of Business and Law, and part of the first cohort of employees with the Positive Action Programme. Described by her son as ‘half human, half cyborg’, she says that technology has changed her life since she lost her hearing after contracting malaria in 2010.

    A significant force within the North West construction industry, Dowhigh Ltd offer a wide range of highway infrastructure and civil engineering specialities undertaken through a combination of skills and experience.

    Helen, from our Liverpool Business School, has played an important role in establishing routes into higher education for members of the Roma community in Liverpool.

    Rian Bailey-Weir is a driven and accomplished LJMU alumni who plays a vital role in our Graduate Futures project, providing expertise and opportunities for our amazing graduates to seamlessly find work after they complete their studies.

    Established in 2018, Lola Starr’s modular fashion clothing items have detachable pieces, allowing room for growth, seasonal transition and easy alteration to suit changing needs and tastes over time. All items are designed and manufactured in the UK.

  7. Community – interviews with women activists in Nepal

    As a part of the Qualitative Analysis in Action project, you are invited to read the interviews with women who are making positive changes to their communities in Nepal. The interviews help us to gain a better understanding of these women's unique and inspirational lives.
