   As we celebrate our Bicentenary this year, we are celebrating the Humans of LJMU who make our city, communities and university the vibrant, inclusive place that it is.

2. Wonderful week of Bicentenary year graduation ceremonies

   Nearly 5,000 students and 65 members of staff officially graduated this week across 14 joyous ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. The graduates will go down in LJMU history, picking up their accolades in the university’s 200th year.

3. Bicentenary Artist in Residence the year so far

   Julia Midgley has sketched the return of our Roscoe Lecture Series, graduation and art and drama students' work.

4. Secure a paid internship and discover what you want to be

   LJMU is offering our second and final year students (Levels 5 & 6) the opportunity to undertake a paid 'Discovery Internship' with a local organisation, working on a suitable project or piece of work that will enhance your employability skills and career insight.

5. Respect Always Coffee and Catch Ups this November

   Do you feel respected within LJMU? All staff are invited to Respect Always 'Coffee and Catch Ups' throughout November to tell us your thoughts. Refreshments will also be provided.

6. Psychology student Charlotte and her Discovery Internship experience

   Discovery Internships are open for applications now until 4 December for second and final year students. Psychology student Charlotte Ilderton explains why she applied to complete an internship alongside her studies at LJMU and how you can too.

7. Athletics coach Graham helps sprinter Ola Abidogun win Commonwealth bronze

   LJMUs Head of Capital Development, Graham Pilkington, was in Birmingham earlier this week as he watched one of his athletes, Ola Abidogun, win bronze in the T45-T47 100m.

8. National Teaching Fellowship awarded to Dr Craig Hammond

   LJMUs Dr Craig Hammond, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education, has been recognised for his outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education, with a National Teaching Fellowship.
