1. Academic Board election results 2023

   A host of representatives from our faculties, along with professional services, have been elected to the Academic Board following a series of elections that took place over the past fortnight.

2. Liverpool leaders share learnings from Reciprocal Mentoring

   The project, which began 14 months ago, saw leaders from across LJMU’s ELT paired with Black and ethnic minority Liverpool city leaders to share their lived experiences and inform policy and decision making at the university and beyond.

3. Academic Board election voting now open

   Staff have until 5pm on Thursday 14 September to vote for their preferred Academic Board candidates.

4. Enhancing the student experience through improved assessment and feedback guidance

   A project group has updated our Assessment and Feedback Policy as well as launched a new mini site of guidance for staff to utilise.

5. Wellbeing journals: order copies for your new students

   Copies of the new wellbeing journal are now available and staff are encouraged to order copies for their students.

   Details of new workshops, guidance and templates to help researchers across LJMU.

7. National Eye Health Week 18 - 24 September

   We are promoting the importance of good eye health, sharing important eye care advice to encourage adopting healthy habits and highlighting the need for regular eye tests.

8. Developing your leadership and management skills

   A new suite of workshops and support has been launched to help you develop your leadership and management skills.

9. Staff and Students celebrate South Asian and East South-east Asian Heritage Month

   The Diversity and Inclusion event held at the Student Life Building this week ‘Cultivating Representation: If you can see it, you can be it’ was open to all staff and students to celebrate South Asian (SA) and East South-east Asian (ESEA) Heritage Month.

10. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

    Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.
