The university is sad to announce the death of Professor James L Ford
On Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August 2019, the MA Art in Science programme at Liverpool School of Art and Design hosted an Art & Science Exchange workshop with members of the Biochemical Society. The exchange was held at the John Lennon Art and Design Building, in the Public Exhibition Space and X-Gallery amongst the MA Art in Science student's end of programme postgraduate exhibition, which showcases the outcomes of their three month research projects. These projects served as a basis for investigation of specific art-science interactions, and were supported by open discussions, hands on activities and a Liverpool LASER talk.
With the Battle of the Atlantic 80th anniversary just weeks away, our drama students are collaborating once again with the Western Approaches Museum. See their immersive performance at the museum on Monday 27 March 2023.

LJMU is deeply saddened by the death of His Honour Dr David Lynch who had been a part of the fabric of the university and School of Law for over 50 years.
An international team of astronomers, including Dr Rob Crain from the LJMU Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI), have developed a simulation of the Universe in which realistic galaxies are created. Astronomers can now use the results to study the development of galaxies from almost 14 billion years ago until now.
