1. Paul Killen

   Paul celebrated his 25th anniversary of working at LJMU in 2023, our Bicentenary year, and in 2024 will reach a marvellous milestone of 40 years working in education and will retire from the profession.

   At our Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair, we'll have charities, businesses and organisations from across the UK and overseas from various sectors. Some are looking for volunteers, others are offering paid summer opportunities, including Go Global schemes like Camp America.

4. CPD Fundamentals of coaching for developing health and social care practice

   This CPD course will develop your knowledge of the theory underpinning coaching and help you develop strategies and skills for coaching in your practice.

5. Sustainable travel for university students and staff

   LJMU has a number of strategies and initiatives in place to promote sustainable travel for University students and staff. Find out about our commitments and what you can do to help reduce emissions by taking alternative means of transport.

6. Kim Cattrall

   Read the oration for Kim Cattrall on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Professor Frank Sanderson.

7. Dr Avril Rowley

   Avril is a graduate of the university, she spent 20 years teaching in primary schools on Merseyside before joining LJMU in 2014 where she is now a senior lecturer within our School of Education, working with both undergraduate and postgraduate students on our primary education programmes. She combines her passion for the outdoors with teaching, and has become our lead on outdoor learning, developing a new approach called the Natural Curriculum, and establishing two Forest School sites.
