   All students and staff are invited to join LJMU at Liverpool Pride on Saturday 27 July.

2. Research explores how Liverpool Cathedral’s music programme helped communities during the pandemic

   Research undertaken by LJMU academic, Dr Simone Krüger Bridge, has investigated how Liverpool Cathedrals music outreach programme, one of the vastest in the UK, helped people through the Covid-19 pandemic.

3. Encouraging more girls to become involved in biomechanics

   In celebration of National Biomechanics Day 2023 (Wednesday 5 April), the Biomechanics Research Group within LJMU’s School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, delivered an exciting, fun-filled, activity packed event with schoolgirls from a Liverpool primary school.

4. Start-up funding opportunity for new student businesses

   The LJMU Start-up Hub is excited to announce that the new Bathgate Boost award is now open! The £500 award is designed to support students who can demonstrate their business idea. Sitting alongside this funding is a package of support from the Start-up Hub team built around developing your start-up and skills as an entrepreneur. The award is open to all current LJMU students and new alumni who graduated from LJMU during 2023.

5. Bicentenary year Artist in Residence drawings to be exhibited on campus

   Julia Midgley: Bicentenary Sketchbook - A Window on LJMU's 200th Anniversary Year will go on public display from Monday 18 March for an extended run until Friday 5 April at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

6. Liverpool in Shanghai: celebrating 25 years as sister cities

   Forty seven members of students and staff from Liverpool John Moores University have visited China this month as part of the Liverpool Outbound Education Mission to Shanghai.

7. NatWest partnership boosts chances for student entrepreneurs

   Students with exciting business ideas are benefitting from a new partnership with banking giant NatWest.

8. Demonstrating technology in action to stimulate ideas among SMEs

   Engineering and technology experts proved that ‘demonstration is key to stimulating ideas’ as they invited businesses from across Cheshire and Warrington onto campus to see research, simulation and innovation facilities.

9. Subject specific Saturday clubs encourage expression and creativity in Merseyside teenagers

   LJMU has launched subject specific Saturday clubs to raise the aspirations of young people in Merseyside.
