1. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

   The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

2. Talented athletes recognised at national awards

   Three athletes supported by LJMUs Performance Sport team, at the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, have received national recognition for their achievements.

9. Young people benefit from LJMU residential

   LJMU Outreach has welcomed 25 young people from 12 schools across the North West to its annual Year 10 residential, targeted specifically at those in local authority or residential care.

10. LJMU is one of 24 universities with Race Equality Charter Bronze Award

    Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded Bronze status by Advance HE's Race Equality Charter (REC)
