    The Environmental Monitoring and Control research theme is focused on addressing global challenges and sustainable development goals related to quality monitoring systems for sustainable agriculture, novel technologies for good health and well-being monitoring, sustainable management, and quality monitoring of water resources.

  2. Novel and Bio-based Materials

    The Novel and Bio-Based Materials Research Group are involved in civil engineering and infrastructure construction materials, sustainable pavement engineering and asphalt technology, cement and concrete research, ceramic materials and more.   3. Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse

    The Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse theme is investigating advanced technologies and solutions to address current sustainability goals, climate change and reduction of carbon footprint for example anaerobic digestion, biodiesel production from waste streams, water and wastewater purification and resource capture.

  4. Holistic Built Environment

    The Holistic Built Environment research theme is focused on sustainability related research problem including legal, social, economic, engineering, and management related aspects of Built Environment using novel approaches like digitalisation, Digital Twin, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality and offsite manufacturing techniques.

  5. Applied Sport Psychology Research Group (ASP-RG)

    The Applied Sport Psychology Research Group (ASP-RG) conducts applied research and consultancy to understand performance excellence and to optimise human functioning from a psychological and socio-psychological perspective.

  6. Fracture and contact mechanics

    The Fracture and Contact Mechanics specialises in the development and use of finite element structural and multi-physics packages.
