2. Climate Explorers - pioneering project to educate children in environmental issues

   A unique project led by Liverpool John Moores University is set to produce a lasting legacy of climate change education by creating a suite of new multi-media content for children (7-12 years), parents, and educators.

3. Care experienced girls and young women still at risk of unnecessary criminalisation

   Girls and women who have been through the care system should be diverted away from custodial sentences into community alternatives wherever possible, says a new report published today (Weds 4 May 2022). And the study adds that moves to prevent the criminalisation of girls in care need to be high on the agenda for change.

   LJMU Library has developed a new children's reading corner, providing access to a collection of children's books. This new space provides a fun and relaxed reading area for use by students, staff, local teachers and school children.

7. Mental health lecturer launches website to help medical professionals support asylum seekers and refugees

   A new online resource hub to help health care professionals signpost refugees and asylum seekers to support services has been created by a senior lecturer in mental health at LJMU.
