The faculty hosted a relaunch event this week to showcase its state-of-the-art new facilities and set out its ambitions for the coming years.

4. Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now taking expressions of interests from eligible candidates for two vacancies on the Academic Board, a Directorate and a Professoriate member.

5. LJMU extends its ties across the globe with first Australian university

   LJMU has extended its reach in the southern hemisphere after signing a new memorandum of understanding with its first Australian partner.

6. Sport science knowledge exchange with former PhD student

   LJMU’s School of Sport and Exercise Sciences recently welcomed former PhD student Dr Niels Feddersen on to campus for a research and knowledge exchange visit.

7. Oar-some marathon rowing challenge

   Danny Cullinane, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, is attempting to row further than he has ever rowed before, by completing a marathon distance (42,195 metres) in aid of the charity True Athlete Project.

8. LJMU transforming endoscopy training across the North West

   LJMU’s School of Nursing and Allied Health is helping to transform endoscopy training through its collaboration with a new academy.

   To better understand how much we all know about data protection matters, a short staff survey has been put together.

10. Come and cheer on Team LJMU at the 2024 Lord Mayor's Dragon Boat Race

    LJMU are the main sponsor of this years’ event and three staff teams will compete on Sunday 12 May.
