   The LJMU Library website has had a major refresh over summer and has launched this week ready for the new academic year.

2. LJMU nominated for two THE awards

   LJMU has been shortlisted in two categories for the 2024 THE Awards.

3. Free student transport to our Freshers Fair 2024

   Free coach travel to and from the event all day.

4. Give out Wellbeing Journals to all your students in your Personal Tutor meetings

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students, and academic staff are being encouraged to hand them out at their first personal tutor meetings with students.

5. Cycling events at LJMU

   LJMU is hosting a series of events to support cyclists of all abilities and experience.

6. Staying Safe this Semester

   Our Student Advice and Wellbeing team is giving their advice on staying safe and where to go for help or support if you need it.

7. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

8. Volunteer opportunities with Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2024

   Daily opportunities through to Sunday 10 November in Liverpool city centre locations.

   The festival of Onam explained: Rosetta Binu, LJMU Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Allied Health and our LJMU Equality team explain what the festival of Onam is, and how it is celebrated.
