   This week Louise Williams has generously agreed to share her experience of running engaging virtual role-play activities at a distance.

   Students studying English at LJMU were treated to a special Q&A with the presenter of BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour.

3. Dr Sasha Kosanic

   Dr Sasha Kosanic is an interdisciplinary scientist whose research focuses on answering complex questions about climate change and the impact it is having on nature and societies. She is also an advocate for inclusion in education, as a former Paralympian and a scientist living with Cerebral Palsy, she looks to highlight inequalities wherever she finds them and to drive forwards change in research and academia.

   Find out more about LCR Activate, a c.£5,000,000 project which, over the next 3 years, seeks to help companies in the Digital and Creative sector take big leaps forward.

5. Alex Medlicott

   Alex is the Co-founder and Director of Liverpool Arts Bar on Hope Street and in the Baltic Triangle, founded with the ethos of supporting and developing grassroots artists across the city, giving them a platform to showcase and celebrate their work. Along with three fellow LJMU graduates, they opened the bar in 2019, survived the Covid-19 pandemic and can now boast that they have the city’s go-to venues for creatives.

7. Gerry Kinsella MBE

   Read the oration for Gerry Kinsella on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Sir Philip Craven.

8. Using forensic science to tackle illegal wildlife trade 

   More effective measures of detection are needed to help stop the trade in illegal animal products. An LJMU graduate is working on an innovative approach to address the problem.

   Will is an award-winning lecturer in our School of Biological and Environmental Sciences. He has been able to use technology to transform student learning.
