    The Forensic Research Institute is a research and training organisation with expertise in aspects of evidence collection, analysis, reporting and testimony.

    The Forensic anthropology group is committed to the development of protocols and guidelines to increase the reliability of the recovery, documentation and analysis of human remains. We provide casework consultancy for forensic anthropological analysis, facial approximation and mass grave excavation.   3. Environmental Monitoring and Control

    The Environmental Monitoring and Control research theme is focused on addressing global challenges and sustainable development goals related to quality monitoring systems for sustainable agriculture, novel technologies for good health and well-being monitoring, sustainable management, and quality monitoring of water resources.

  4. Novel and Bio-based Materials

    The Novel and Bio-Based Materials Research Group are involved in civil engineering and infrastructure construction materials, sustainable pavement engineering and asphalt technology, cement and concrete research, ceramic materials and more.   5. Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse

    The Sustainable Resource Processing and Reuse theme is investigating advanced technologies and solutions to address current sustainability goals, climate change and reduction of carbon footprint for example anaerobic digestion, biodiesel production from waste streams, water and wastewater purification and resource capture.

  6. Contemporary Art Lab

    The Contemporary Art Lab's digital creative research relates to the relationship between technology and culture, as well as the way meaning unfolds through new computational forms.

  7. Experimental Technologies Lab

    The Applied Forensic Technology Research (AFTeR) Group is interested in all aspects of the application of technology within the field of forensic work. A particular focus is on audio and video forensics.
