1. Praise for policing student who goes above and beyond

   A first year policing student has gone above and beyond during her first week at LJMU by helping a total stranger on a night out.

2. Open Research Week 2022

   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. All events will be recorded; if you are unable to attend but are interested in the content, please sign up and the recording will be sent out to you in due course.

   Discovery Internships are open for applications now until 4 December for second and final year students. Psychology student Charlotte Ilderton explains why she applied to complete an internship alongside her studies at LJMU and how you can too.

4. Grad Academy for 2022 grads and current final year students

   From 2 to 11 May join the Grad Academy events and get support from the Student Futures team in the lead up to graduation and beyond on your journey to your next career destination!

5. How can staff enhance the student experience? ‘Make every contact count’

   More than 120 staff from across the university attended an engagement workshop on prioritising the student experience.

7. LJMU celebrates South Asian and East/Southeast Asian Heritage Months

   In celebration of South Asian Heritage Month (July 18 to August 17) and East and Southeast Asian Heritage Month (September), LJMU held an event on campus.

8. LJMU supports Hong Kong Community with Progression to HE Opportunities

   LJMU’s Outreach Team has continued their work with the Hong Kong community based in Warrington. The team held an event last week to support the community and share access to Higher Educations options, within the region.
