   Find out what support is available to disabled students including financial support, adapted accommodation, Disabled Students’ Allowance and learning support plans.

   As well as services within the University, there is a wealth of information online to help support you at this time and we know it can sometimes be overwhelming trying to navigate through this to find the right support you need.

4. Success stories – Start-up hub

   Get inspiration from other start-up businesses and find out how former students created successful businesses.

5. Book a one-to one careers meeting

   Find out how you can book an appointment with our Careers Team advisers to discuss your options. You can take a mock interview, get your personal statement, application forms and CV checked, get interview advice and search for graduate jobs, internships, part-time jobs and work experience.

6. Your rights as a disabled job-seeker or employee

   Understanding the law will allow you to advocate for yourself and know your rights as a disabled job-seeker or employee.

7. Recognition of Prior Learning

   If you can demonstrate that you have already achieved learning equivalent to a module or modules, or a level of study, in your programme at LJMU then you may be eligible to be awarded credit for this learning or to have credit transferred from another UK institution.

   U.S. students can find out the eligibility requirements and how to apply for federal student aid to support their studies at LJMU.

9. Supporting your study

   As a student at LJMU this section provides some useful advice on topics such as your health and wellbeing, library and IT services, research support, student policy and regulations and support with your studies.

    Find out more about becoming a student advocate. All our Advocates are current LJMU students who support the activities the Outreach Team deliver in schools and colleges, including delivering student life talks about their personal experiences of living in Liverpool and studying at LJMU.
