   Researchers from LJMU and the University of Liverpool have conducted a study examining the effect ecstasy has on different parts of the brain.

2. Open Research Week 2022

   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. 4. First day of 2015 graduation ceremonies

   Monday 13 July saw the first of the 2015 LJMU graduation ceremonies take place at Liverpool Cathedral

5. One of only eight universities to secure prestigious international funding

   LJMU has been awarded approximately £490,000 from Research England’s first ever International Investment Initiative (I3). The award has been jointly made to LJMU and The University of Western Australia (UWA) for the international collaboration project, i-CARDIO. The project has a dual focus; the first component is the delivery of workshops to develop innovative ways to detect cardiovascular diseases for preventative intervention using imaging techniques. The second element is the evaluation of Australia’s model of accreditation of clinical exercise scientists and physiologists. The accreditation incorporates university and work place-based learning to enable graduates to secure roles in the healthcare system as recognised allied health professionals.

7. Dr Hilary Bishop receives Fulbright Award to undertake research in the US

   The senior lecturer with Liverpool Business School will study Irish living heritage in New York.

   Tuesday 14 July was the second day of the summer graduation ceremonies

9. Liverpool School of Art and Design MA students' work celebrated in exhibition

   The end of year exhibition runs until 1 September 2023, 10am – 5pm at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

10. Chemistry for All

    The exclusive Liverpool John Moores University outreach project funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) has completed its first successful year.
