1. International Conference on Mixed Methods Research (ICMMR 2019)

   Prof Padam Simkhada, Professor of International Public Health at the Public Health Institute, Liverpool John Moores University, delivered the keynote speech in the International Conference on Mixed Methods Research (ICMMR 2019) at the Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India on Saturday 23rd February 2019. Professor Simkhada also gave an inaugural speech on the implications of mixed methods on health service research during the conference inauguration ceremony.

2. New Reading List Management System Launched.

   In January 2015 Library Services piloted the use of a reading list management system, Rebus:List with 27 academics across the University with a soft launch that Summer.

3. Sexual Violence Awareness Week

   Throughout Sexual Violence Awareness Week (Monday 4th – Sunday 10th February), a new team of staff from Student Advice and Wellbeing Services were out and about across the University to talk to students and staff about the impact sexual violence and harassment has on individuals and communities

4. Students visit textiles and life conference

   MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation students: Joshua Marriott, Macarena Morilla Dominguez and Courtney Hammond presented research posters based on their MA proposals.

5. Domestic abuse: better safeguarding can aid prosecution

   New research suggests domestic abuse victims are better served by schemes which prioritise safeguarding over prosecution.

6. Take part in a focus group with the Careers Team and get a £10 Amazon voucher

   The Careers Team would really like to hear your views on the careers services offered by the Careers Team to final year students and graduates.

7. Postgraduate Researchers: How’s it going?

   Please tell us about your experience as a postgraduate research student and help raise money for The Whitechapel Centre.

8. Volunteer for Claire House

   Our corporate charity Claire House is looking for volunteers on Saturday 29 February and Sunday 1 March at the welcoming of HMS Prince of Wales on the Liverpool Waterfront.
