  5. Dr Robert Hesketh

    Robert is a lecturer in criminal justice with a research focus on organised crime groups, which was influenced by his own experiences growing up on an estate in Merseyside where many young people were drawn into criminality. He takes prides in helping students from a similar background to him and ensures that his teachings provide real world value.

  7. About the Astrophysics Research Institute

    The Astrophysics Research Institute is interested in star formation, stellar evolution, time-domain astrophysics, galaxy formation and clusters, dynamics and evolution. Our aim is to become an internationally recognised centre of excellence in astrophysics.   8. Legal Advice Centre

    The LAC is staffed by students, and supervised by experienced clinic staff and volunteer solicitors from leading Liverpool law firms. The Centre advises on a wide range of legal issues, provides public legal information services and conducts policy and other research.

    In 2022, Liverpool John Moores University renewed their Diversity Champions membership, to ensure the continuation of our LGBTQI+ staff feeling free to be themselves and to continue the work to increase the feeling of belongingness.
