Ruth is one of thousands of mature students to have passed through the doors of LJMU, furthering her own career in children’s care and education after gaining her degree in 2016.
Our campus tours allow you to view our student accommodation, The Students’ Union and The Library. You’ll be guided by a current Liverpool John Moores University student who’ll be happy to answer all your questions.
Robert is a lecturer in criminal justice with a research focus on organised crime groups, which was influenced by his own experiences growing up on an estate in Merseyside where many young people were drawn into criminality. He takes prides in helping students from a similar background to him and ensures that his teachings provide real world value.

The Astrophysics Research Institute is interested in star formation, stellar evolution, time-domain astrophysics, galaxy formation and clusters, dynamics and evolution. Our aim is to become an internationally recognised centre of excellence in astrophysics. The LAC is staffed by students, and supervised by experienced clinic staff and volunteer solicitors from leading Liverpool law firms. The Centre advises on a wide range of legal issues, provides public legal information services and conducts policy and other research.
