2. First Step Spring Internships available for Level 4 students

   A new pilot internship programme for first year students (level 4 only) with little to no previous work experience launched on Monday 15 January and close at midnight on Sunday 4 February. There will be no interview process for these opportunities, the Student Futures team will undertake a matching process between participating organisations and students. The internships will begin on Monday 4 March (start dates may vary for each role).

3. Queen's New Year's Honours for LJMU Honorary Fellows

   Six LJMU Honorary Fellows have been recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list 2017.

4. Staff Car Parking Update

   Following a recent review of LJMU staff car parking provision, the university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2023.

   Forensic anthropologist and mind illusionist, Dr Matteo Borrini, demonstrates the techniques that psychics use to make people believe in paranormal powers.

8. 'Ask for Martin'

   LJMU and JMSU work hard to support all students who have been victims of harassment and/or assault.  However, the recent reports of increased spiking in clubs and bars in Liverpool and other cities around the UK are extremely concerning and we want to reassure all students that support is available to anyone affected by this issue.
