  2. High performance computing at LJMU

    Prospero is LJMU’s high performance computing (HPC) facility for research. It is hosted and operated by the university’s IT Services (ITS) division, as a service to the university’s research community.

  3. Time domain astrophysics

    Within the time domain astrophysics research group, we are involved in major observational survey projects. We work on a variety of explosive transients, including galactic and extragalactic novae, type la supernovae, core collapse supernovae, and gamma rays bursts.     Based within the Centre for the Study of Crime, Criminalisation and Social Exclusion, Artivism seeks to explore new models of collaborative work between researchers, artists, curators, campaign groups and charities.

  5. Electrical and Electronic Research Engineering services

    The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Research Centre offer a variety of services to businesses and organisations, including testing and qualification of microelectronic and power devices, simulation and modelling of electric machines, as well as variable-speed drives and power electronic converters.

  6. Cluster for Research into Coaching Symposium

    With generous support from our School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, the Cluster for Research in Sport Coaching (CRiC) will meet for a coaching research symposium on Monday 12 June.
