   After 33 years of service, Julie Lloyd (Executive HR Director at LJMU) retires from the University. Julie is passionate about the progression of women in the workplace and has always advocated for more women in the boardroom - In her talk, Julie will explore the critical issues as to why we are not seeing more women in top positions and offer tips and strategies for overcoming the challenges to womens advancement and career progression.

3. Chief Constable of Merseyside Police joins LJMU

   Sir Jon Murphy, the Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, who retires this month after a career of more than 40 years as a serving police officer, is to join LJMU’s Centre for Advanced Policing Studies as Professor of Advanced Policing Studies.

   Matt McLain from LJMU’s School of Education has been honoured for his achievements in teacher training at the Design and Technology Association Excellence Awards held last month.    Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.
