    Our Criminology degree programme at LJMU takes our students on a thought provoking and engaging critical exploration of the institutions which make up the criminal justice system.

  2. Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement

    Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement or ‘PPIE’ has become a wide-spread phenomenon in health and social care research. PPIE is considered the gold standard of research and is typically required by funding bodies (such as the NIHR) to access grant funding.

  3. Research Unit for Financial Inclusion

    The Research Unit for Financial Inclusion is recognised as a leader in credit union research. We undertake research into issues central to the development of credit union, co-operatives and social enterprise and to the future of low and moderate-income consumer finance.

  4. Psychology and Criminology Network

    The Psychology and Criminology Network seeks to understand and support victims and witnesses of crime, the rehabilitation of offenders, international policing practice, policy and culture and aid forensic practitioner resilience.

  5. School of Law

    The School of Law delivers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within Law and Criminal Justice to its 1200 plus students. In addition to our programmes, we are also known for our pro bono activities, our innovative research and our excellent links with the legal community.

  6. Graduation

    Our graduation ceremonies at Liverpool Cathedral (Anglican) are a rich pageant full of colour provided by academic gowns, processional maces, banners, fanfares and ceremonial music.
