1. Dental plan for LJMU staff

   LJMU staff can opt-in to a dental insurance plan.

2. Academic Registry training sessions February to July 2023

   There are still many staff training opportunities available this academic year, through to the end of July 2023, covering a range of topics.

3. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

7. Liverpool John Moores University signs up to NW’s £54m ‘Hollywood’ plan

   Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) has been confirmed as the education partner at the much-anticipated Littlewoods Film and TV Studios being developed in the city by CAPITAL&CENTRIC with Liverpool City Council.

8. St Patricks Day and Liverpool

   Following International Women’s Day (8 March) and ahead of St Patrick’s Day (17 March), our Diversity and Inclusion team is looking at some of the Irish women who have made a significant contribution to Liverpool.

9. Teaching student creates new braille for her visually-impaired pupils

   Enterprising Jade Smith, from St Helens on Merseyside, says the pre-braille method is already being used by youngsters in Liverpool, Lancashire, London, Wales and even in Missouri, in the US.

10. Liverpool leaders share learnings from Reciprocal Mentoring

    The project, which began 14 months ago, saw leaders from across LJMU’s ELT paired with Black and ethnic minority Liverpool city leaders to share their lived experiences and inform policy and decision making at the university and beyond.
