2. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

   The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

   A major study has been launched to learn more about the impact of COVID-19 on children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

   Four Premier League professional match officials are receiving strength and conditioning training and physiotherapy sessions with LJMU sport scientists, under a new partnership.

   Drama students performed three consecutive performances last month at the Western Approaches Museum as part of the Battle of the Atlantic 80th anniversary commemorations, which culminate this May across Liverpool.

   LJMU recently brought together representatives from the chemical and shipping industry to discuss innovative solutions to the sector’s supply chain.

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.
