3. World-class status for Sport and Exercise Sciences in new academic ranking

   Liverpool John Moores University’s School of Sport and Exercise Sciences has been named the 6th best department in the world according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) for the Sports Sciences subject area, highlighting the School’s global research influence. The results also show the School ranked as the 2nd best department in the UK and the 3rd best in Europe.

4. Major new study into impacts of COVID-19 on children

   A major study has been launched to learn more about the impact of COVID-19 on children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

5. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

7. LJMU is selected for new national strategy through its commitment to care leavers

   LJMU is part of a landmark support scheme to help raise aspirations and outcomes for care leavers.

8. Front of class technology support sessions for staff - September 2022

   IT Services Technology Support staff will be on hand this September to offer informal guidance on the operation and use of in-class technologies such as projectors, visualisers, and front of class computers.

9. Digital media and content production CPD courses

   Staff looking to reskill, retrain or advance their skills in digital media and content production may be interested in one of our Screen School’s short courses.
