    One of our pioneers, she started a revolution in physical education with a ground-breaking curriculum that still lives on at LJMU today.

    Abbie is a senior research engineer at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) having spent nine years studying at LJMU. A last-minute switch from studying pharmacy to civil engineering has seen her career take a whole different direction.

    Calvin joined LJMU in July 2017 and says that a milestone in his career was founding the international relations programme that he lectures on.

  5. Ethan Mahony

    A pharmacy graduate from Limerick who was supported throughout his studies to play Hurling, Ethan also found his tribe here in Liverpool, a place with plenty of enduring Irish connections.

  6. Lottie Kippax

    Lottie is undertaking her master’s in pharmacy at LJMU and juggles her studies alongside work at a local pharmacy, helping the community of Liverpool while furthering her own skills.

  7. Faye Mills

    Faye is a 2023 graduate of LJMU, having studied law. She had, at times, a challenging experience at university, discovering she had dyslexia and a degenerative condition that impacted on her memory and conversation. But she showed resilience, courage and determination, with support from her family and LJMU, to successfully complete her studies.

    Sam is a Class of 2023 graduate and will start work with our Student Futures team in September 2023, after enjoying working alongside them during his studies.

  9. Jack Fitzpatrick

    Jack is an LJMU graduate, who as someone living with a disability, has found great support during his studies and fantastic mentors at the university.

  10. Selma Bazara

    While working as a social media executive and studying at LJMU for her MA in Human Resource Management, Selma became an internet sensation starring alongside LFC manager Jurgen Klopp for the club’s kit launch. As a result, she has helped to raise the profile of fellow young Muslim women from both the Liverpool and football fan communities.
