  1. Barry Groombridge interview – Elder Dempster

    Barry Groombridge joined Elder Dempster Lines aged 16. Barry’s first voyage was from London to the United States, via West Africa. The voyage lasted nine months.   2. Post Approval Form (PAF) Guidance

    The purpose of a PAF is to document approval of any recruitment activity or any LJMU staff changes, permanent or temporary and it is used to update both the Establishment and contractual/payroll records for actual payment purposes.

    In 1978 gay rights activist Gilbert Baker created the first Pride flag with the goal of it being a symbol for everyone. Since then many new flags were created to represent all communities within the LGBTQI+ community.
