1. Come and cheer on Team LJMU at the 2024 Lord Mayor's Dragon Boat Race

   LJMU are the main sponsor of this years’ event and three staff teams will compete on Sunday 12 May.

2. Reciprocal Mentoring Programme involving BAME Staff, Black Students and Senior Leaders

   Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.

3. ADHD Foundation 'Neurodiversity Umbrella Project' welcomed onto campus

   You may have noticed a rainbow installation of more than 80 umbrellas in the Student Life Building. We're delighted to partner with the ADHD Foundation to bring the Neurodiversity Umbrella Project.

4. Women in Sport Journalism Day

   It has been called the last men's club in journalism, but expect a much more female future for the UK's sport coverage.

5. Inquiry offers Truth Project sessions to students

   The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse is inviting students to come forward to take part in its Truth Project at seven universities across the country, including LJMU.

6. Summer and graduate placement opportunities

   A great range of 200-hour part-time (20 hours per week over 10 weeks) and five-month full-time, paid student summer placements are currently available exclusively to LJMU students.

7. Masters students show work at Art and Design degree show

   A weeklong celebration of work from graduating postgraduate students has opened at the School of Art and Design.

   LJMU and JMSU work hard to support all students who have been victims of harassment and/or assault.  However, the recent reports of increased spiking in clubs and bars in Liverpool and other cities around the UK are extremely concerning and we want to reassure all students that support is available to anyone affected by this issue.
