1. #IDPD2019 - new development opportunities for staff

   LJMU to launch new Mental Health Awareness development opportunities for all staff in January 2020.

2. Enhancing Research Through Ethical Review

   Debate, discussion and deliberation characterised the first ‘Inside the Research Ethics Committee’ workshop which took place recently and attracted researchers from across the University.

3. LJMU Wellbeing Week 11th – 15th March.

   We have a full week of activities which draw attention to the importance of wellbeing and provides an opportunity for staff and students to try out new approaches to staying healthy and happy.

4. Coffee and Croissant, Breakfast and Networking

   Research and Innovation Services (RIS) will be holding an informal networking breakfast event, Coffee and Croissant, at Byrom Street, MTC Social Zone on Thursday 4th April from 8.15am – 9.30am.

5. Empower Programme for students on the Autism spectrum

   The NHS Merseyside Health Sector Career and Engagement Hub is running the Empower programme - a pre-employment transition workshop for second and final year LJMU students on the Autism spectrum.

6. Connections over Croissants

   Research and Innovation Services (RIS) will be holding an informal networking breakfast event, Coffee and Croissant, at Byrom Street, LIVE Lab in the Peter Jost Building on Thursday 4th April from 8.15am – 9.30am.

8. Family judge for Cheshire and Merseyside hosts first LAC public debate event

   Her Honour Judge Margaret de Haas QC hosted the first public debate held by LJMU’s Legal Advice Centre, which focused on the legal rights of grandparents.

9. International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) - 3rd December 2019

   1981 was designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Disabled People and since then, 3rd December has been marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day aims to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of disabled people and the gains derived from their integration into every aspect of the political, social, economic and cultural life of our communities.

10. LightNight 2019 – Rituals – A free one-night arts festival

    Celebrating it's 10th anniversary LightNight returns on Friday 17 May 2019, unlocking the doors of Liverpool’s best-loved and lesser-known arts, culture and heritage venues late into the night.
