2. Chief Constable delivers Spring Lecture at LJMU

   Chief Constable Craig Guildford of West Midlands Police delivered his spring lecture at LJMU last week. The lecture titled Turning the Tanker: Reflections on 18 Months as Chief Constable of West Midlands Police was held in the Redmonds Building and saw Chief Constable Guildford share his strategic initiatives, and thoughts on the importance of community engagement, and the future direction of the force.

3. Sports performance alumni leads the way at British Equestrian

   Former sports performance student, Helen Nicholls, has been appointed as Performance Director at British Equestrian.

4. Grace, intelligence and graft: Nisha's recipe for success

   Chancellor Nisha Katona MBE has shared the key ingredients for success with LJMU students and staff: grace, intelligence and graft. She shared her insights at the second Roscoe Lecture series event of LJMU’s Bicentenary year at St George’s Hall.

6. LJMU Chancellor welcomes scholars, Honorary Fellows and alumni to third Middle Temple celebration

   Over 110 LJMU Scholars, Honorary fellows and alumni came together at a special event in London’s historic Middle Temple last night, hosted by LJMU Chancellor and Honorary Fellow, Sir Brian Leveson.

8. LJMU wins funding for 200 new Degree Apprenticeships under Government initiative

   LJMU will be opening its doors to an extra 200 new employer-supported Degree Apprentices in September 2017, after being only one of 18 universities to secure part of a multimillion pound Government fund.

9. North West Higher Education Action Learning Programme

   LJMU are offering up to ten places for women working in academic and professional services roles to take part in cross institutional action learning sets with peers from universities in the North West region.

10. Honorary Fellow: Ian Meadows

    Ian Meadows received an Honorary Fellowship from LJMU on Friday 28 November 2014 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to business and the civic life of the city.
