1. Jane Williams (1898 - c. 2016)

   Jane was a student at the F.L. Calder College of Domestic Science, one of LJMU’s historic colleges, where she qualified as a teacher. She went on to teach at schools in Wales thanks to a personal reference from Fanny Calder herself. Records from her life help to tell the significant history of LJMU as an institution that supports the training of teachers, always placing importance on providing education for all. The records are held within LJMU’s Special Collections and Archives.

   Our interest lies in the evolution of animal societies and the interactions that occur within these societies and their link to emotion, cognition and communication. We primarily study primates (including humans) but also other species including birds. 5. Social Innovation

   The Digital Health Interest Group within the Institute for Health Research are actively engaged with digital health research and aim to develop long-standing interventions to improve health care and pathways.

   The Human Identification Network specialises in the identification of living and deceased humans through biometrics, behavioural patterns, genomics, bioanthropology, trace elements and craniofacial anthropology.
