   As a student at LJMU this section provides some useful advice on topics such as your health and wellbeing, library and IT services, research support, student policy and regulations and support with your studies.

2. The history of Elder Dempster Lines

   Read more about the history of Elder Dempster Lines - the largest UK shipping group between Western Europe and West Africa from the late-nineteenth century to the 1980s.

3. Global Internship Programme – Work abroad

   For summer 2019, LJMU will be sending students on 2 month internships in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Melbourne, Australia. The scheme covers flights, accommodation, insurance, work experience, networking events and might include trips or social activities too!

4. Academic Policy

5. Admin and Executive Support Network

   The Admin and Executive Support Network is aimed at all internal administrative staff in roles such as (but not exclusive to) Personal Assistant, Executive Support Officer and Faculty Administrator from across the university.

6. Women Professional Services Network

   The University Women in the Professional services (WPS) is for all female staff in professional services at all levels. Established in 2022 we see the Network as taking a fundamental role to the University strategic mission and to become a visible and proactive consultative group on issues of gender diversity.

7. Spirituality

   Find out about the facilities and support for faith and contemplation while you are studying at LJMU including our multi-faith rooms and the LJMU Ecumenical Chaplaincy.

8. Qualitative research – Qualitative Analysis in Action

   As a part of the Qualitative Analysis in Action project, you can explore qualitative research based on interviews with Nepali women.

9. Ethnically Diverse Staff Network

   The LJMU Ethnically Diverse Staff Network is open to staff whom identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, in the first instance.

10. Staff Disability Network

    The LJMU Staff Disability Network is open to staff whom identify as having a disability (physical, hidden, mental and long-term health conditions), in the first instance.
