4. LJMU to host Universities Policy Engagement Network fringe event on EDI

   The university will host an event for the Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN) to further their work in addressing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within academic-policy engagement.

5. Nanotech to lengthen life-span of electric vehicles

   Electric vehicles (EVs) are an important part of meeting global goals on climate change, but with more than half of their emissions coming in the manufacturing phase, product duration is key to ensuring EVs remain low-carbon emitters.

6. LJMU pledges to secure successful student futures at House of Commons

   22 universities, including Liverpool John Moores University and JMSU have pledged to develop a Student Futures Manifesto joint action between a university and its students to improve the student experience.

7. Future-proofing history

   Liverpool workers’ memories of the Elder Dempster Lines, the UK’s largest shipping group trading between Western Europe and West Africa, have been recorded and captured as part of an online archive created by Liverpool John Moores University.

8. Laser Run added to Invictus Games 2027 thanks to influence of LJMU

   LJMU has been a trailblazer in the inclusive sport of Para Pentathlon, so much so that the Para Laser element of the event has been added to the Invictus Games.
