1. Start-up Hub

   The Start-up Hub helps students and graduates start a business. We offer funding, business advice and training. We also have networking events and workshops.

2. Aspire Combat Sports Academy

   Aspire Combat Sports Academy is Dean Garnett's mixed martial arts academy. Dean worked with the Centre for Entrepreneurship when starting his business venture.

3. Webrevolve

   Webrevolve is James Rowan's digtial agency. James worked with the Centre for Entreprenurship to start his business venture.

4. Tag-Art

   Tag-Art is Nicola Taggart's mural and art workshop business. Nicola worked with the Centre for Entrepreneurship when starting her business venture.

5. Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair - 9 February, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   At our Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair, we'll have charities, businesses and organisations from across the UK and overseas from various sectors. Some are looking for volunteers, others are offering paid summer opportunities, including Go Global schemes like Camp America.

6. Careers and start-up support for our Alumni

7. Postgraduate study and short courses that support green skills building and future career goals

   Are you motivated to improve your understanding of sustainability and build specialist skills and knowledge for your future career?

8. Student Futures Internships Programme

   In 2023 Student Futures ran a Green Internship Project with three LJMU students. Their assignment was to explore the area of Green Careers and Skills in more depth.

9. Sharing information about your disability

   Many students and graduates with a disability, health condition or neurodiversity worry about whether to tell a prospective or current employer. In legal terms, this is referred to as ‘disclosure’. It is both a balancing act and a personal decision whether and when you want to share information about your disability during the recruitment process or in the workplace.

10. Your rights as a disabled job-seeker or employee

    Understanding the law will allow you to advocate for yourself and know your rights as a disabled job-seeker or employee.
