Research interests within the Health and Wellbeing Research Theme focuses on the psychological aspects of illness, health and healthcare delivery. The Critical Research Seminars are a series of talks and debates that examine social policy. Seminar topics include: policing, youth justice, prison policy, drugs policy, death in custody and violence against women.
School of Psychology
The Public Health Institute investigates interventions with the aim of reducing tobacco use. We look at the relationship between smoking behaviours and demographics, income, parental smoking, leisure activities and alcohol consumption.
The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Science areas of expertise are organised into research groups and exchanges which focus on the following: biomechanics, cardiovascular health, exercise metabolism, brain and behaviour, physical activity, sport psychology and football-related research.
The overall aim of this proposed exchange programme is to bring together an international team of researchers with a wide variety of expertise in supply chain risk management, hazard identification and safety assessment, and to tackle the challenges faced by industry requiring specialist knowledge and innovation.
