3. Improving PGT student identity and their experience through understanding their expectations on entry – the findings from an 11 University HEFCE funded project

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.

   A new suite of workshops and support has been launched to help you develop your leadership and management skills.

5. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

   Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

6. Public Health Institute launched amid research success for one of the team

   A new Public Health Institute has been established at Liverpool John Moores University to respond to the varied and complex public health issues of the 21st Century.

7. LJMU relations with Nepal strengthened after researchers meet with President

   Researchers from LJMU have met with the President of Nepal, the Right honourable Bidhya Devi Bhandari, to discuss issues relating to education, gender, women's rights and social justice. Dr Sara Parker from Sociology, School of Humanities and Social Science and Rose Khatri from the Centre for Public Health recently met with the President and spoke for almost two hours.

8. LJMU welcomes former Chief Constable as new lecturer in policing and leadership

   LJMU has welcomed former Lancashire Constabulary Chief Constable Steve Finnigan CBE to teach the next generation of police leaders, at the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies.

9. LJMU wins bid to host international sports science conference

   Liverpool John Moores University has won a bid to host a prestigious international sports science conference in 2020.
