1. February is LGBT+ History Month

   This month marks LGBT+ History Month 2022, a chance to shine a light on the overlooked and complicated history of all of the identities and communities under the LGBT+ umbrella .

2. LJMU appoints new Pro-Vice-Chancellor

   Liverpool John Moores University has appointed a new Pro-Vice-Chancellor for External Engagement and Partnerships Dr Aileen Jones, who is currently Executive Director of Investment and Delivery at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, will take up post at the university in September.

4. Visit to House of Lords to discuss how to support disabled graduates

   Keren Coney, Careers Adviser in Student Advancement: LJMU's Careers, Employability and Enterprise Service, was thrilled to go to the House of Lords to meet with Lord Shinkwin to discuss how to support disabled graduates as they seek to enter the workplace.

5. LJMU offers free legal advice to people of Liverpool

   New £2.6m Legal Advice Centre on Hardman Street welcomed by lawyers, campaigners and students.

6. Hats off to the Faculty of Education Health and Community

   At the first of the day's Graduation Ceremonies, education students from LJMU's Faculty of Education, Health and Community collected their certificates at Liverpool Cathedral.

7. Honorary Fellow Dr Larry DeNardis

   Liverpool John Moores University awards Honorary Fellowship to Dr Larry DeNardis at Liverpool Cathedral on Wednesday 12 July 2017.

8. Transformative criminological research celebrated at FACT 20th anniversary

   Dr Emma Murray, a Reader in Military Veteran Studies, has been collaborating with FACT since 2014 and in 2019 became FACT’s Criminologist-in-Residence.

9. Bicentenary year Artist in Residence drawings to be exhibited on campus

   Julia Midgley: Bicentenary Sketchbook - A Window on LJMU's 200th Anniversary Year will go on public display from Monday 18 March for an extended run until Friday 5 April at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.
