1. Volunteer at our March graduation ceremonies

   Staff are needed to usher graduands and guests, and to carry out other duties at the Anglican Cathedral during our March ceremonies this bicentenary year.

2. LJMU collaborates with Liverpool Law Society

   LJMU Law students are being offered career and networking opportunities from Liverpool Law Society (the society that represents all lawyers from the Liverpool City Region) due to a new collaboration between the two organisations.

3. University Seal request form update

   The Secretariat has updated the request form to incorporate the additional stages of approval required from colleagues in finance and legal.

4. Advance HE Aurora Programme final days to apply

   LJMU staff are reminded that the application deadline for the Advance HE Aurora Programme, a leadership development initiative for women, is Friday 4 November 2022.

5. Trainee pharmacists speed ahead in digital practice

   Pharmacists-to-be are being trained on the world's first fully patient-controlled online health record.

6. Women in Professional Services event: Wednesday 12 October 2022

   Staff are invited to the first face-to-face networking event organised by the Women in Professional Services (WPS) Network, taking place on Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the Student Life Building with guest speaker Dawn Corker.

7. Empowering staff to support PGRs from racially minoritised groups

   Academic and professional services staff who support PGRs have a bespoke training and development opportunity designed by the educational charity Grit Breakthrough. Using a coaching approach to support PGRs is a two-day online coaching workshop, which will run across two days in November.

8. Free winter flu jabs for staff

   As part of our employee wellbeing focus, we are again offering staff a voucher for a free winter flu jab.

9. North West Higher Education Action Learning Programme

   LJMU are offering up to ten places for women working in academic and professional services roles to take part in cross institutional action learning sets with peers from universities in the North West region.

10. LJMU to evaluate success of Royal British Legion Break service

    A major national study of the impact of the Royal British Legion break service on veterans and their families, is being carried out by LJMU.
