1. University welcomes new students

   St George’s Hall will again play host to a special event organised by LJMU to welcome new full-time undergraduates to the University and the city of Liverpool.

2. Fab Lab Liverpool creates board games to support LJMU research

   Fab Lab were commissioned by LJMU’s Research and Innovation Services to support two different projects, one to help students develop their research proposals and one that shines a light on the probation service.

3. UK Malaysia University Consortium host 80 students at inaugural conference

   LJMU as the Consortium Secretariat played a leading role in organising the five-day event.

4. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

5. Over 500 staff and students attend Students at the Heart Conference 2023

   Covering everything from AI to alumni, 70 plus sessions were delivered by 200 staff and students across the two-day event.

6. Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week: Support at LJMU

   This week marks the beginning of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week, to encourage survivors to talk about abuse and that #ItIsNotOk

8. Summer graduation 2024

   This July, LJMU celebrated the achievements of 5,341 students who graduated across 15 ceremonies at Liverpool Cathedral.
