5. MA Short Film Festival 2023 returns 24 to 31 March

   The festival returns for its third edition, featuring 42 films from across the globe that showcase the work of the best and brightest emerging student filmmakers.

   Young peoples mental health is being tested in this pandemic like never before, according to postgraduate student Shaunna Devine.

7. Media students' climb to the top

   Three Liverpool Screen School students have won £2,000 in a competition run by leading motoring magazine, Influx Magazine.

8. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.

9. Humanities PhD student awarded for outstanding paper

   Sean Creaney, a lecturer in Childhood and Youth Studies at Stockport College, who is currently studying for his PhD in the School of Humanities and Social Science, has just been awarded ‘Outstanding Paper’ in the 2015 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence
