1. International Welcome starts this week

   This is the first bespoke welcome programme catered for International New Arrivals.

3. Centre for Educational Research seminar series 2022-23

   Next month, the Centre for Educational Research (CERES) seminar series kicks off with two online events taking place every month from October through to May.

4. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

7. Refugee Nurses course features on BBC Morning Live

   LJMU's acclaimed Refugee Nursing course made the headlines again in a feature on BBC1's flagship Morning Live programme.

8. LJMU students help refugees at the Polish/Ukrainian border

   MA Wildlife Conservation students Vanessa Grundy, 27 and Alex Donnelly, 27 along with Vanessa's brother Mike Grundy are currently at the Poland-Ukraine border helping refugees get to safe accommodation in Krakow, and further across Europe, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

9. Training: Supporting students from Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen and Boater communities

   LJMU has long prided itself on offering access to higher education to under-represented sections of our community.

10. LJMU students help the global fight against pneumonia

    Over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate LJMU students have registered their interest in clinical trials at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicines Accelerator Research Clinic (ARC) with many LJMU students having already taken part in a study.
