5. Centre for Port and Maritime History Projects and Exhibitions

   LJMU’s CPMH members have contributed to or curated several exhibitions and are currently involved in exciting new and inter-disciplinary projects, including one centred on the Battle of the Atlantic 80th Anniversary Celebrations.

6. Professor Peter Toyne CBE DL

   Professor Peter Toyne was the Rector at Liverpool Polytechnic between 1986 and 1992 and the first LJMU Vice-Chancellor, once it gained university status, from 1992 to 2000. His vision for the polytechnic and then the university benefited not just students but Liverpool too.

7. David McLean

   Read the oration for David McLean on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Professor Frank Sanderson.

8. Rat Island

   Face Lab produced a 3D facial depiction of a 19th Century adult male from skeletal remains recovered during rescue excavations on Rat Island, Gosport near Portsmouth.
