2. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

3. Make a difference for The Whitechapel Centre

   For the last two years we have been involved in the Whitechapel Christmas Appeal and thanks to you all donating an amazing amount of gifts, you helped make Christmas special for The Whitechapel Centre clients. 4. Nine funded projects combat discrimination and inequality

   The impact made by nine research projects led by LJMU staff has been celebrated at an event on campus.

5. Grants and Projects Update

   New Grants and Projects (GaP) software which provides LJMU with a collaborative creative environment for anyone applying for external funding and professional services to work together on bid and project proposals.

6. Apprenticeships and Student Governance policy updates

   The new Apprenticeships Policy has received Academic Board approval and 20 Student Governance policies, guidance and pro forma have recently been reviewed, and have received minor amendments.

7. EFC offer - discounted tickets

   Everton Football Club is once again offering LJMU staff and students discounted tickets to a range of fixtures this season.

8. Get Trained on GaP

   All grant funded projects and knowledge exchange projects must be recorded on the GaP system from April 2020

9. LJMU produced films to be shown at COP26 in Glasgow

   LJMU films of how fast rising sea levels impact island communities will be shown to delegates at Glasgow COP26 next week.

10. Building a bridge across 'The Pond'

    In the year Cunard celebrates the 175th anniversary of its first crossing, LJMU and Southern Connecticut State University jointly announce a trans-Atlantic alliance which will offer increased opportunities for students at both institutions.
