1. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

   The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

   It has been called the last men's club in journalism, but expect a much more female future for the UK's sport coverage.

   Football-mad students are on their way to dream roles after graduating from the elite FA University Womens Leadership Programme.

4. LJMU launch new Disability Sport and Physical Activity Network (DisSPA)

   LJMU were joined by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE DL & Professor Greg Whyte to launch new Disability Sport and Physical Activity Network (DisSPA Network) this month.

5. How nature can benefit our economy

   Liverpool John Moores University is supporting plans to embed natures benefits for a more resilient and healthy economy in the Liverpool City Region.

6. Lioness Nikita Parris backed by LJMU at Euro 2022

   Former LJMU Sport Scholar Nikita Parris will play as a forward with the Lionesses as they bid to win the UEFA Womens Euro 2022 tournament

7. LJMU partners with L8 community celebration

   On Saturday 25 June, staff and students from LJMU will join hundreds of people at Firefit Community Hub (115 Upper Warwick Street, L8 8HD) in Toxteth for a community fair and celebration of everyone and everything that makes L8 so unique.

8. Majority of April and May exams to be held online

   Most exams in April and May 2022 will be held online. There are a small number of examinations which will be held in-person due to specific requirements of the professional body.

9. Our LJMU community celebrating Ramadan

   Ramadan begins on 2 April and our LJMU Equality team is sharing the support available for those celebrating plus their advice on how our LJMU community can help students and staff who may be fasting.

    International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) aims to raise awareness of discrimination and violence against people within the LGBTIQ+ community, to drive positive change.
